Dr. Lisa Bolden

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, counseling individuals, couples, families, and groups.  I use cutting-edge, research-backed therapy proven effective for a variety of emotional issues, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. I currently consult with community and faith-based agencies, and universities.

With an emphasis on delivering compassionate, competent, and culturally sensitive mental health services, through the training mental health professionals, my work in the field is based on collaboration to enhance treatment, research, advocacy, and community mental health needs of racially diverse clients.

I have developed collaborations focused on ethnic disparities in mental health. As co-founder and partner in multi-site private practice and mental health non-profit focused on the provision of culturally proficient mental health services and training of mental health professionals.

My research focuses on multiculturalism, practitioner training, and implementation of evidence-based practice, specifically amongst people of color. I have long been committed to multiculturalism and inclusion, and collaboration between mental health professionals. My teaching and consultation centers around assisting professionals from all mental health disciplines using a multicultural lens to enhance clinical, research, advocacy, and service delivery in community mental health. I hope to provide continued expertise and leadership in this area to the new generation of mental health practitioners.
